Addresses and positions

How addresses and positions work in Infobric Workorder

Updated over 2 months ago

When you’re working with worksites and work orders in Infobric Workorder, you can add an address. You can:

  • enter an address directly on a worksite

  • reuse a worksite address when creating a workorder

  • enter a unique address directly on the workorder

Addresses are automatically linked to a position

When you enter an address, we automatically try to fetch the correct position (latitude and longitude) using Google Maps. This makes it easy to navigate to the location – especially useful when you're using the app in the field.

Warning if the position is uncertain

Sometimes, Google Maps can only find the general area – not the exact address. In those cases, you’ll see a warning directly on the map:

📍 Example:
If you enter "Stortorget 32B, Upplands Väsby", Google might only find "Upplands Väsby" – not the specific street address.

What to do if you see a warning

If the warning icon appears:

  • Double-check that the position is correct.

  • Adjust the address if needed.

This helps you and your colleagues find the right location – and avoid driving to the wrong place.

The same warning appears in the app, so you can stay alert when you're out on site.
