Product updates – August 2026

What's new in Workorder

The big news in Workorder this August is our new look, which you can read more about below. But we’ve also taken the opportunity to launch several highly requested features. Among other things, you can read about how to manage default projects and warehouse locations for each user, set cost markups per project, and control what is synced to Monitor.

New name and new look

We now have a new look! We’ve updated our logo and colours and launched a new website.

Nothing changes for you in terms of product functionality – only the appearance:

  • The app has a new icon featuring our new logo (you can still find it by searching for "Workorder")

  • The web version of the product has a new look (the URL remains the same as before)

  • Our support page has also had a bit of a refresh

Change a user's default project

Does your company use default projects for individual users? You can now manage them directly in Workorder.

Under Settings for each user, you can select or change which project should be used by default when the user creates a new work order. Previously, this change had to be made with the help of our support team. If no individual setting is specified, the system's default project will be used.

If you also work with warehouse locations, you can set the user's default warehouse location in the same way.

Do you have other user-specific settings, for example related to custom features or integrations? Contact us, and we can make those editable in the same place as well – including settings you previously needed our help to add or change.

Cost markups per project

You can now set cost markups directly on a project.

There is a new Cost Markups tab on the project, where you can specify the markups to be applied to different cost types.

When the project is used on a work order, the project's cost markups take precedence over any markups set for the customer. This allows you to use project-specific markups without having to change the customer's general settings.

Cost markups per project are available under Registers > Projects if cost markups are enabled for your system. No additional settings are required.

Easier to find the right billing item in the app

It is now easier to find and select the right billing item when reporting time in the app.

You can still select an item directly from the list, just as before, which is quick and convenient when there are only a few items to choose from.

For pay types with many available billing items, you can now tap [...] next to the list to open the item selector. There, you can search for the right item by, for example, item number or name and then select it.

This makes it easier to find the right billing item even when there are a large number of options to choose from.

Please note that this improvement applies when the feature for selecting billing items when reporting time is enabled ([read more] in a previous product update (swedish)).

Monitor: You can now disable description syncing

Do you use our Monitor integration? You can now completely disable the syncing of work order descriptions to Monitor.

Previously, the description and title were transferred to Monitor as an order line. With the new setting, you can choose not to transfer this information at all.

Contact us to adjust these settings. Once configured, they will apply to all work orders synced to Monitor.

Hyrma–Workorder

Select multiple statuses in Transport Planning

You can now select multiple statuses at the same time when filtering work orders in Transport Planning.

Previously, you could only filter by one status at a time. Now, you can select all the statuses you want to display in the list.

The feature works in the same way as selecting multiple depots, making it easier to customise which work orders are shown in the planning view.

Faster workflow for Return Inspection

We have simplified the workflow for Return Inspection in the app, reducing the number of clicks needed from opening the order to completing the work.

When you open a Return Inspection from the day view, you will now be taken directly to the form. If there is only one form to choose from, it will open automatically.

Once the form is completed and you go back, you will exit the entire form workflow and can immediately choose to change the order status to Work Completed.

This means fewer steps and a faster workflow for recurring Return Inspections.

To avoid any confusion or uncertainty, these features need to be enabled. Contact your representative to configure the system for the order types where you want a faster workflow with fewer clicks.

Retrieve completed forms via API

You can now retrieve data from completed forms on a work order. If you want to transfer the data to another system, you can do so via our REST API. Contact us if you would like to know more.

Minor adjustments and improvements

Improvement to Optimera EDI

When Workorder imported delivery notes and order confirmations from Optimera via EDI, the reference could sometimes be missing if the reference number ended with a hyphen. This has now been fixed.

Time report printout: page break before summary

You can now add a page break before the summary when printing a time report. This ensures that the page break always appears before the summary, rather than splitting the summary across pages.
